Automatic Identification and Data Capture usually represents in itself a technological challenge. The choice of solution and the journey towards the expected benefits in terms of sustainability and accountability is complex and requests early, strategic choices and planning.
That’s why we create roadmaps. We create roadmaps where we with visual overviews, time, rhythm, and phases indicate direction and desired direction of developments. Done right roadmaps is a powerful tool for strategic communication and prioritizing. If we come off on the wrong foot our roadmaps may be perceived as imprecise project plans, ambitious dream visions or interpreted quite literally as a delivery plan 6 years into the future.
This presentation will present a basic concept and a practical process – roadmapping – which can be applied to prepare good roadmaps. We will look at different relevant genres and types of roadmaps as well as the pros and cons of the different types.
Presented by Bent Bilstrup, Technology Roadmapping Advisor, Lakeside
